Davys locker the thunderbird out of newport landing got 45 bluefin amd 10 yellows on a overnighter!
i saw that in an email 2 days ago, really wanting to get on that boat for a chance at a full freezer

Man those fish are getting close. Pretty soon we gonna hear of people getting yellow off the beach, pier, and rock jetty.
30 years ago it used to really happen, be sweet if our fishery would come back
I've caught couple yellowtail off rock jetty in Newport Beach back in 97 or 98 during an el nino year. Couple of my buddy took there bass boat about a mile out and got in to some major yellowfin and dorado. Be nice if we can get some of that action again.
