Today is a good day for Team Ironclad. We ended up placing 2nd place with top 3 yellowtail weigh in at 76lbs. First place had a bag over 100 lbs. Thought for sure we won it, because the team placing 3rd 4th 5th had bag in the 50 lbs. Still stoked with 2nd place thought.
On the side note.... something really cool happen at the banquette. One team come in with 270+ lbs bluefin tuna but they got disqualified due to US Coastguard stopping them for routine check and held them for hours. They make it in to the weight in late. The team winning the side tuna jackpot won it with a 15lbs tuna. After taking picture and got the $2500 tuna jackpot check they walk to team that got disqualified with the 270 pounder and handed them the check. "You won this fair and square, this jackpot is yours" That was so cool to see the whole room was cheering for them. Wish I had it recorded on video. Hat off to you guys handed over the check. True sportsman right there. Hope everyone catch fish this weekend as well. Til next time......OTs.
