Went out saturday from dana point with a beautifil scoop of dines that lasted all day. Headed out to the 209. Lots of patties with a few yt. Headed south, all the way to the middle grounds of the nine mile. Headed back up to the north nine where we ended up chasing tuna around for a while and patty fishing. Almost every patty had yt some chalked full- no takers. Decided to head back staying about 15 miles from shore and saw tuna the entire way back into the oceanside area, and we chased em. Finally around 6pm outside of oceanside my bro hooked one on a pink/purple colt sniper which was casted then steadily retrieved across the puddlers. 25-30# yft was the result. Largest concentration of life/fish was north of the north 9. Oceanside 15 miles out was plentiful with tuna. Tight lines and safe fishing.
