ok i have been reading this for 2 days now and bottom line is yes you NEED a passport. If you cross boarders you need it period. i dont care what any landing states or what any one else thinks. The rules are and actually have been this!

i like what i have taken from another site and what this person has to say.

**Un fuckin believable. I don't know what blows me out the most, how little people knew about the flying of flags and the legalities or that they still don't get this shit. Seriously I put in more time chasing pussy than studying... but I was in the room and heard most of it.

PEOPLE, it is international law that says you have to have a passport to LEAVE or ENTER another country, you also need a passport to get a visa. This IS NOT A NEW MEXICAN thing, what is new is that they are starting to enforce what the UNITED STATES and the rest of the world has been doing for years. The Mexicans let us go into their country with no passport or visa for ever, HOWEVER we have not done that with them... THAT IS WHAT "ILLEGAL ALIEN" means... they don't have a passport or a visa, so they are here illegally. WE have done this to them, not the other way around. GOD DAM I feel so sorry for people who show their ignorance when they start talking this shit that if they are going to do this to us then we should do it to them... WHAT FUCKING PLANET have you been living on, WE have been doing it to them for years. The Mexicans make NO MONEY on you having a passport, none. What the fuck is the big deal? It cost me $125.00, two trips down town at about an hour each and I got my passport, book AND card in three days and they are good for ten years. Did I type that to fast? That was THREE days, $125.oo and I got BOTH THE BOOK AND THE CARD. The fucker is you have to have an original birth certificate, which means it has to have an embossed stamp on it from the state you were born in. You can only get it in the county and the city that you were born in. I wasn't born in San Diego or it would have been cheap and easy to get... I have to have someone (a company) get it for me or travel to get it myself... the birth certificate took three weeks to get and cost me a lot more than the passport.

Don't take this the wrong way, I don't like the way it is.. I liked it more when you could pay a few bucks for a fishing license for your boat and it covered everyone on it, but lets get real here.... You spend $50 for a Mexican license that is good for one year from the time you bought it.. you not only live out of town, you live in another country. If you buy a Ca license, it's for a year, but not really.. what if you bought it in June, it's still the same price but only good for six months. What if you aren't from another country, but just from another state... that license will cost you $120... that is twice as much as you are paying for that Mexican license. Hey your getting fucked by our government why shouldn't the Mexican government be able to grope you a little? You know, put just the head in a little, maybe squeeze your ass a little... but not fucking you, two foot and dry like the locals do, and they are even nice enough to give you a God dam reach around. And what do you fuckers do? Bitch and complain that you want to get kissed when you get fucked

Just for some clarity, there is a distance... some countries recognize 3 miles and others go with 12 miles, but when you are in that range, EVEN IF you are on the water and don't go into a port, YOU ARE STILL in that country.

The radio operators license isn't a Mexican law, they are just enforcing it like they are supposed to. It puts no money in their pocket.

Before you start talking shit about the Mexicans cracking down on the passport thing, educate yourself and you will find out that it isn't their law, it is international law and it has been around a long time, they have been nice enough to give you some time to get what you should have known you needed to have months ago... no check that, you should have known that back when you got out of school.

I don't like the way it is now and would like it more if it was like it used to be... but I like catching Mexican fish, I like Mexican food, I like Mexican woman, and I like Mexican boxers... guess I'll have to live with the rest. **

this is the truth just stop whining and get it so you can fish as well travel.....
