Ya choodak running over with my buddy Dave...
be safe ant wait to see and here the report.
What a pretty cool day at Catalina. Not a ounce of wind, no sea chop, and never seen a lake this calm. Dry crossing with smooth seas. Dave who I fished with is a insane fly fisherman. First target of the day was Bonita. We headed to frog rock north of Avalon and Bonita was what we found. I got one on the spoon and Dave got many on the fly. I then tried the fly rod and boy did I suck. A total new respect for the fly fisherman. He makes it look easy, I looked drunk. Nevertheless it was a blast. Water was 65-66 degrees but by mid morning the tied went slack and the Mack attack came about. We had to end the day a bit but it was a fun day. Crossing was as smooth as it was in the morning. And it was flat out a beautiful day to be on the water. [Image: a4e5asan.jpg][Image: ane8u8ej.jpg][Image: etunanyj.jpg][Image: puqysame.jpg][Image: ujuzunu8.jpg]

Like Dave told me. Practice in a park first lol. He said in a park you are only worried about the casting. On the water in the stadium so much going on its hard to watch what your doing. That was the issue for me. He is catching Bonita and I'm casting like a 2 year old
