Buddy of my just for off a 1 1/2 on the Tribute out of Seaforth. Got one bft, and limit if YT. One of his YT took the jackpot it was close to 30lb. They ended up running 120 miles down. I'll be enjoying fresh YT & BFT for dinner tonight. While I was loading up fillet in to my cooler. He said the capt told every one that the tuna pen is off limit to fish. Too many boat was getting in the way of the commercial boats, so they kick every one out of there. Anybody got any more info on this?

I thought there were in the us waters? Maybe I heard incorrectly
I have not heard this, and am listening to the chatter in my shop via land based radios. Not one word. In fact, I know without a shadow of a doubt that the tuna pens bit really good today for a few sportboats. Really good.
That a bummer that they went to different area, and miss the good bite at the pen. All the bluefin they got were all small.
Well here is a little bit of info from Lo Preste-Dunn Sportfishing Inc. "NO the Pens are not off limits" it is the Pacific Ocean first off and second it came about that some ASS HATS backed up to the pens and casted into them, they where asked not to and to just move off the pens. long story short that is it... Fish on and respect those pens.

That sucked that the captain didnt go fish there...
Thanks for clearing this up Mikey.
