Excited and can't wait for my new reel to get here. Ordered the Penn 2 speed lever drag torque 40! Any ideas of the type of rod you would match it up too?

the quality of penn reels and ugly sticks work good together.....haha
Definately go with the Ugly Stik. But make sure its a spinning rod. The wider eyes make it super easy to cast.
