When you go out fishing and you are targeting 1 fish, try to stick with that plan.
the next thing is if your going offshore water color, temp breaks and bait.
paddy hopping always toss 2 or 3 baits in as you come up on the paddy and stealth is key. soak a bait fly line and also get one deep, if you can jig an iron.
Inshore find the bait and structure or the correct bottom for your target.
Not the best at the giving advice but this will help i promise that.
