Ok so me and the wife decided to get away away for the weekend. Decided on high sierras (no-brainer for a camping trip right?) so we start driving down the 14, then the 395....[attachment=1893]....but as we're driving along we realize we havent picked a campground yet! Where to camp..hmmmmm...[attachment=1894] well we decided on pleasant valley campground. Nights will be a little more comfy, and we are more centralized to the town in case we need to run out and and get something. Our beautiful little campsite[attachment=1894] after all is set up time to light the fire, bullshit around the campfire, and time to enjoy a nice kosher beverage out of the tin cups we brought...ha[attachment=1896] then we decide its bedtime as we have a long hike to go on in the morning. so wake up in the morning pretty early, around 6:30, and of course wife still sleeping for a while. I decide to head upstream a little ways to see if i can catch some breakfast. Found an awesome little spot and pulled up these bad boys[attachment=1897] so those to go along with this kick ass breakfast of[attachment=1898] eggs, potatoes, and pastrami, and we are ready to tackle the day. We decide on driving up to Lake Sabrina, and taking one of the trail heads to one of those back country lakes that you can only hike to. Lake Sabrina drained pretty bad as i heard they are doing some work to the dam. Not much water left...[attachment=1899]
couple of photos as we are hiking along. seeing some cool waterfalls on the trail.[attachment=1900]

so we get to the lake after a grueling 3 mile hike and a 1500 foot
elevation change. But man was it worth it. the views and the lake were
unreal. I'll let the photos do the talking. and i got my first 2 brook
trout ever! Tried to get some photos of the cool colors on the trout,
but pictures came out bad. Thanks tanya...haha. But look at the redish
pinkish colors on the fish. way
cool.[attachment=1901][attachment=1902][attachment=1903][attachment=1906][attachment=1905][attachment=1904]
Then get back to the campsite, and realized there was a wind storm. So big fish of the weekend ended up being a the chair i had to fish out of the river...haha[attachment=1907]

Fish the tent out? That sucks
For sure sucky! What about the clothes and stuff inside your tent? I remember a few years back we were camping at baker creek, and either it was so windy or somebody was that drunk where the tent just basically collapsed and one of our buddies was drunk enough and decided he decided he didn't care and just crawled in anyways and cashed out, collapsed tent and all...haha good times. Red rock would remember better about what actually happened...

It was the wind, it was blowing so hard that it snapped the poles...
